Have you ever considered that God is utterly and completely in love with you? Yes, you! Sometimes, we get so caught up in our daily lives and struggles that we forget this truth. Let’s remind ourselves just how deeply and passionately God loves us.

Verses to Embrace God’s Love

It is my desire to lavish my love on you.

I offer you more than your earthly father ever could.

For I am the perfect father.

How To Practically Live Daily For God

Living life, in this earthly realm, is a constant war against darkness and the kingdom of darkness. We have no choice even if we try to live in denial. We are fighting every day.

Living Daily For Jesus

How to practically live for jesus every day

The day of judgment is swiftly approaching, and if our eyes are open, we can see that already the righteous judgements of God are being visited upon the earth. A friend of mine recently said, "We are having a rude awakening before the great awakening." I believe it.

It's been an awakening experience for me these past days. My heart is vehemently turned to the things that matter most.

Have you ever felt a mysterious stirring within you, as if your hidden personal destiny was to engage in a noble war against the forces of darkness? This is God calling you to live for Him.

Why Did Jesus Say The Stones Will Cry Out?

Stones do not get around much! And I was thinking of how Jesus said that if the disciples should remain silent, the very stones would cry out.

Stones Will Not Rise

Stones will not rise by KACHI CG
Cover art for Kachi's newest track titled 'Stones Will Not Rise'.

"I tell you that if these [people] should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out."
— Luke 19:40
The scene was the “Triumphal Entry”. Jesus was on a donkey colt entering Jerusalem as people spread their cloaks on the road in front of him, joyfully shouting praises to God, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”

This declaration of Jesus as the king of Israel, the son of David, the One who comes in the name of the Lord, provoked a rebuke from the Pharisees.

Let's read the passage:
"Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying:
" 'Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!' Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"
And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, "Teacher, rebuke Your disciples."
But He answered and said to them, "I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.""

When The Heartbreaker Doesn't Deserve Your Apology

Happy New Week Sweethearts! I write this post with swollen eyes and dried tears. The tears have stopped flowing but the traces are visible. What I'm about to share with you today radiates from a heart flooding with peace.

Blessed Are The Peacemakers

Blessed are the peacemakers_amakamedia

Heartbreak blows you open. That's certainly not the most wonderful opening sentence, but tell me that's not wisdom. Don't leave me!

Oh. You didn't catch my drift? Sorry. Maybe that's why I drifted from the relationships I threw myself into, because the guys couldn't catch me. Wisdom. Don't leave me!

Oops. I'm not playing with you like they do in Italy. Give me another chance. Please. You can see I am not writing don't leave me in italics like I did in the previous paragraphs.

Your Office Is The Best Place To Prove You're A Christian

Hi again! My name is Amaka and I will be hitting thirty on the 26th day of the coolest month of the year. And I am sharing my lessons from being a 20-something just before my journey into 30s begins.

This post is the 13th lesson. I hope it inspires you in some way. Happy reading!

6 Powerful Lessons From Mike Bamiloye's Biopic, The Train: The Journey Of Faith

What a movie! This is one to remember! The story of Evangelist Mike Bamiloye is so inspiring. My God! Almost everyone in my age bracket who lived in Nigeria grew up watching his movies.

Watching his biopic which was recently published on Youtube was a roller coaster ride. I laughed and cried. I felt the move of God at some point. Something sure leaped inside of me.

Lessons From The Biopic Of Mike Bamiloye

I know that I will never be the same again after watching this movie. The Train gave me a new direction, light and encouragement on my own journey. I want to tell you some of the things I learned from the movie. I am actually telling myself too, because I would want to revisit these lessons.

1. The Vision Is For An Appointed Time

This movie has strengthened my resolve to follow God's plan for my life. No matter what life throws at me, I should always be of good cheer.

The vision is for an appointed time, and at the end (not at the beginning) it shall speak. This tiny seed (dream, vision) God put in my heart will eventually become a mighty tree, as long as I commit to the journey of faith with obedience and patience.

Taking A Break From Taking A Break

Hi sweetheart. Welcome to a brand new week. Hope you are doing great!

Until His Kingdom Come

Taking a break

Aside from the very first two weeks after my Wedding Day, these past two weeks have been the most exciting, refreshing and eventful one. I literally was locked up at home with my husband for the entire period. And trust me, I enjoyed every minute of it!

It’s surprising how loud silence can be. Especially when you’re not used to it. This has been my experience each day, sitting there in the arms of the one I love. Alone. It was beautifully silent — but for the oscillating sound of our neighbour's generator set — and my soul decompressed from weeks on end in the rush to achieve my goals. My body and soul has found fresh air there that was hard to come by before the lockdown. I am grateful.

I want you to join me. Not in my husband's arms (that is never going to happen) but in some silent, occasional solitude of your own. You need a break from the chaos, from the noise and the crowds, more than you may think at first. You need the spiritual disciplines of silence and solitude.

Dear Diary, The Thieves Couldn't Shake It Off

Since Sunday was Easter and yesterday was Easter Monday, can we also say today is Easter Tuesday. Lol. Anyway, Happy Easter Sweethearts!

I Live For Jesus

I feel the world pulling you away from your beliefs, and there are more distractions and temptations than ever before. But there’s hope if you put Jesus at the center of your life. And live for him.

You know I had tried to live for Jesus in my own strength, right? But it was exhausting and discouraging. Until I began relying on the Holy Spirit, Jesus’ life became free to flow through me. Now, I have what my heart longed for most — an intimate relationship with God.

I find that the nearer I draw close to God and come to know Him more, the greater His desires naturally become mine. Obedience to His will becomes easier. His instructions become a priority.

Dear Diary, I Am Standing In Awe

I woke up singing the chorus, "I stand, I stand in awe of you" by Hillsong Music. I sang it all through my journey to the office. When I got to the office, I looked for the song on SoundCloud and got my earphones on. I am literally standing in awe of God in this very season of my life.

Standing in Awe

Every song that refers to God as "awesome" is currently my fave. I'm searching for as many as I can lay my hands on. I am singing them all to God. Yeah. Yeah.

How do I even begin to describe how awesome God is. . .?

Ah, how do I start?

I am so loving this genuine sense of wonder I am having of God right now.

Lord, You are awesome.

To even say the word "awesome" stirs up a sweet sensation in my heart. I can feel power in the pit of my stomach when I say, "awesome." I sense something rises up inside of me and makes me want to fly.

14.5.18

Mistakes Are Okay

Many times, the guilt we feel over our mistakes is much worse than the mistakes themselves.

Can we receive grace to forgive ourselves?

Make More Mistakes

We all want to do everything right, but that is not going to happen as long as we are in this body of flesh, living. If we could be perfect in our behaviour, we wouldn't need God.

Think about it.

Jesus died for us because we could not be good enough on our own to enjoy a relationship with God that is completely holy. If you truly love God, if you are in love with Jesus, you will not want to sin or displease him. You will do everything you can to stay away from sin. But you will sin, and you cannot let that distract you or hinder you from moving on with God.

7.5.18

The Other Side

Do you know what robs our joy faster than anything else? When we know the right thing to do and we don’t do it.

Ah, may God help us maintain our joy!

The Other Side

If God lays it on our hearts to do something, we should better do it. And do it immediately because for every opportunity that you get to choose obedience, you receive a blessing!

Obedience doesn't exactly sound like fun. It actually feels like an obligation, like something we have to do.  We often doubt the motives of being asked to obey, or we think that our way would surely be better.

Why is that so? Because we always want to see what will happen if we do what we do before we obey. That's living by sight. However, God has desires that we live by faith.

It’s easier to have faith when we can see the end of the story. But often it takes greater faith to obey God’s promptings when it doesn’t make sense at the moment.

An Inspiration From Wakanda (The 'Black Panther' 2018 Movie)

Y-e-s, yes! I went to see Marvel's latest movie, 'Black Panther' at the cinema yesterday and it was lit! I'm typing from the land of Wakanda right now. Lol.

The fictional country of Wakanda is certainly a sight to behold in Black Panther. A futuristic metropolis brimming with sound and colour. *holds breathe* Can't catch my breath. Oh my!

Open Your Hand

Black Panther is the latest movie on the box office right now. It’s been the buzz ever since the premiere dropped. That I got to see it yesterday gives me joy. The colours, the movement, the depth, the vibrancy. I was mesmerized. I got all misty-eyed. My goodness. It was art. It was just a feast for my eyes.

One of the things I love about Black Panther is its pure representation of African culture  strong, powerful black men, beautiful, wise women, people of talent and colour. We even see Ankara fabric all over the place. Aww!

Ankara is my vibranium.

And the casting? Superb! Each character nailed their scripts to bits. The people of Wakanda is proud of their heritage and of who they are. They’re the type of heroes who inspire audiences down to their bones.

To Know God; Make it Your Number One Goal

Happy New Week! I wish people would ask me more about how my relationship with God is fairing than just about when they are coming to eat jollof rice on my wedding Day. Lol.

The Number One Goal

We all have a story. The one God writes for each of us may go down many paths. No matter where you are on the journey, there is a plan and a purpose to what you experience. And that experience leaves you with some better knowledge of who God is.

29.1.18

He Gives Good And Perfect Things

One of my favourite knowledge of God’s heart is His desire to give us amazing gifts. James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” :)

Every Good Gifts and Perfect Gifts Are From Above

When was the last time you related with God as a little child? When was the last time you approached God as your Heavenly Father? I hope it's not been too long.

God wants us to see Him as a father. And that is what I am dwelling on this week. Coming to God as a baby girl and telling him everything about every single little thing. Coming to God as a baby girl and asking him for the simplest of things. He likes it! He listens because He loves me!

Don't Miss Your Season, Stay In Position

Hi! Long time no post. I told you I'd be away from here for about three weeks so I could go "get what I want" for 2018, yeah? But there I was on social media  – Twitter, IG, WhatsApp, even Facebook – posting pictures of "What I wore", inspirational quotes and bits of how my day was going. Who was I fooling? I'm backkk!

Stay In Your Place

It's thrilling to think that a new year signifies setting new goals, learning new skills, and experiencing something new. However, newness is not in things.

Newness is within us. New is in our hearts. The truly new is something that is eternally new: you. Every morning, every moment is new. We have never lived this moment before and we never will again. In this perspective, new is a state of mind.

How To Experience Peace In Your Life Every Day

Father, You have promised that we can experience the kind of peace that passes all understanding. That's Your kind of peace, Lord. And it's the kind we crave.

Peace In Your Heart

It almost feels like we have to fight for our peace every day. It is becoming harder to find daily peace; not easier.

Our peace is so easily stolen. It takes just a simple glance on social media or a mounting to-do list for uncertainty and restlessness to rise up and overwhelm our hearts with anxiety. A long look at the success and joys of those around you can lure your heart into a never-ending longing for the possessions, personality and positions that we don’t have. Even a quick encounter with a difficult person can quickly take your days of peace.

Ah, it is crucial now more than ever that we allow the peace of God to dwell in our hearts.

12.9.17

DIARY: I Come To The End Of Myself

Everything we are and everything we have is IN God. Let's keep that in mind so that we do not exalt ourselves over God and other people, and to remain conscious of the fact that everything we have was given to us by God.

Less Of Me, More Of Jesus

Today I come to the end of myself.

You know that moment? The moment when you’re persuaded that the more you insist on selling what you know or on your rights, the more frustrated you will be. The moment when you realize that the more you set goals and pursuits for yourself, the further you will be from Christ. The moment when you finally realize there's got to be more of Jesus and less of you.

Highlights From Bishop T.D. Jakes' Session In The Spirit-Life Conference 2017

I am so drunk! This will be a weekend to remember for a looong time! God is doing things this season . . . I pray we be sensitive enough to receive what is needed for our next level.

You know I can't keep it all to myself. A sis gotta share what a sis gotta share. Aha!

Quotes By T.D Jakes At #SLC2017

If all that happened yesterday evening at the Spirit Life Conference could be the end, it would still be regarded as a successful conference considering how I was raised to my feet and thrown flat on the floor by the Spirit! I sobbed my heart out under the weight of glory!

The session tagged "Face To Face" led by the great man of God, Bishop T.D. Jakes was super explosive! God definitely has something big in store for His people.

A Twitter Thread That Will Make You Repent Then Heal

Sharing is caring! Telling others about posts or tweets that resonate with you is one of the easiest ways to be a blessing to the world. Not to mention that it benefits both parties involved: You update your page, you create relationships and knowledge is exposed to a wider audience.

This blessed me.

An Inspiring Thread

Like I mentioned in 'Why I Love Twitter', you can express a lot in just one Tweet. But sometimes you want to tell a developing story, resurface a related Tweet, or simply talk for more than 140 characters. When that happens, you have the Tweet threading option!

Creating a thread on Twitter is simply easy. Just follow these 3 steps (Lol. I love easy steps. See here, here and there):

Step 1: Reply to your own Tweet.

Step 2:  If your @name appears in the Tweet compose field, delete it. The reply will nest under your first Tweet automatically.

Step 3: Continue replying to the newest Tweet in your thread until your story is complete.

That's all!

I haven't created a thread that went viral yet. But I have read a few threads by others that prompted me to retweet and like. So on Tuesday, I found one that prompted me to share with you on the blog. I hope it blesses you too.

Before It Is Stolen Again

My friends and I at an Amplify Network hangout were discussing our testimonies and struggles when one of us mentioned being physically attacked by demons. It made me cringe.

I think we give the devil too much credit when we talk about him or refer to him at every negative incident. Can we ignore him or give him the backseat?

Not Being Ignorant Of The Devices

The devil is not a joke. I believe the devil and his demons are super real. I believe the devil and the demons are powerful. I believe the devil and his demons are evil and full of wickedness. I believe they steal, they kill, and they destroy. However, I do not believe they win every battle.
