STYLE: Decide What Story Your Family Will Tell

I’ve mentioned a couple times or twenty that What-I-Wore Sunday feature posts have been a little bit of a challenge since I moved to my husband’s church. Thankfully, today's post-church pictures turned out better than usual; our faces didn't scream, “I am hungry and I want to go home!”

Decide What Story Your Family is Going to Tell

Family style in ankara

Everyone who knows me know that I love the fabric called Ankara. I practically live in it. You should come visit me sometime and see the wonders my family does with the fabric. The beautiful colours and patterns inherent in Ankara is how we want our family story to be.

Bright. Vibrant. Colourful. Attractive. Glamourous. Expressive. African. Bold. Versatile. Unique.

You know what I mean. All those good stuff.

I like to imagine my children being asked, what do you like about your family?

Use Love Languages at Work to Build Healthier Relationships (AUDIO)

Everyone needs to feel appreciated to know they’re contributing valuable work and ideas. But effectively demonstrating appreciation often requires more than saying “Good job.”

I recorded this presentation I made while with Mediacraft Associates for personal use until I couldn’t resist the pressing urge to publish it for the world to hear.

 Please listen below 👇🏾

I must admit that many things triggered sharing it publicly:

1. Just last week, the tragic news about a banker who committed suicide within the bank’s premises went viral. There are many more employees who have committed suicide that we do not know about. It’s on Vanguard, Punch, Cable, everywhere you look. The world is in dire need of LOVE.

2. My current phone might be formatted soon, and I fear that I might lose this file forever. Not a valid reason, actually.

3. Two of my colleagues made reference to a presentation I made some time ago, and I believe it was quite insightful.

4. Above all, the two most important personalities in my life—my husband and the Holy Spirit— have given me their go-ahead.

STYLE: The Year has been Lighted

Happy First Sunday of the Year! I hope you went to church today, whether physically or online? If you didn’t, it is well with you. However, if you did, what did you wear?

Yes, I am interested in knowing what you wore to church? Let me know.

2024 is LIGHT-ED

I am almost accustomed to starting my posts with “I don’t know where this post is headed but…” So I do not want to start like that on this one. Here is what I am going to do instead:

I am going to share highlights of today’s sermon, ‘Walking in the Light,’ with you while showing you pictures of what I wore to church today. Meanwhile, I worshipped at the Teens church today, and it was truly an uplifting service.

Appearing in Light and Glamour

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to 2024! You made it! You are still standing strong.

Year of Showing

I would love to go straight into word declaration for 2024, but I think it’s wise to share a glimpse of my review for 2023

I have consciously and consistently created the system of defining my year with a word or a phrase as I receive divine blueprint throughout the year. From ‘Basking in Glory' to 'Prepare Your Heart', to 'Decide To Decide', etc., my journey has been incredibly beautiful to behold.

However, last year took me by surprise. When I declared “New Hair, New Me,” I limited my definition and understanding to SELF-CARE. I assumed God was telling me that my port-partum hair breakage was going to stop and I will dwell and bask in pampering myself and all things associated with getting my natural hair back.

Lol. Jesus Iye!!!

2023 took a TOTALLY DIFFERENT turn. Yes, you could say it was a year for self-care but it was actually self-care pro max-max!!!
