21 Days of Praise: Day 15 - The Living Word

Welcome to Day 15 of our #21DaysofPraise series! Today was quite a struggle for me. However, “I will praise the Lord no matter what happens. I will constantly speak of his glories and grace. I will boast of all his kindness to me. Let all who are discouraged take heart. Let us praise the Lord together and exalt his name.” Psalm 134:1-3 (TLB).

See how that suits right into the moment. That’s God’s Word for you. It is a living, active force.

Praise for His Word

Today, I celebrate the incredible gift of God's Word. The Bible is not just a book; it is a living, active force that guides, comforts, and transforms us. Through His Word, God speaks directly to our hearts, offering wisdom, encouragement, and truth.

Verse of the Day: Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” — (NIV)

“For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, and it pierces more sharply than a two-edged sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts.” — (TPT)
Have you ever wondered what the world would be like without the Bible? Have you ever wondered what your life and hope for the future would be without the Word of God? Why do you study the Bible? And, must you?

I believe that without the Bible, it would be much harder to guide society—both for good and evil. The Bible provides a blueprint for living, sharing morals within a community, and teaching parents what values to pass on to their children. Without it, something else would need to fill that role.

A world without the Bible would be very different. Personally, without the Bible, my life would have been full of worries and tensions.

21 Days of Praise: Day 2 - The Gift of Salvation

Welcome to Day 2 of our #21DaysofPraise series! Today, we are focusing on the incredible gift of salvation that we have through Jesus Christ.

Praise for Salvation

21 days of praise - Gift of salvation

Verse of the Day: Ephesians 2:8
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." (NIV)
“For by grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the love gift from God that brought us to Christ!” (TPT)

Reflecting on the gift of salvation fills our hearts with gratitude. It's not something we could ever earn; it's a gift freely given by a loving God.

I remember the moment I truly understood the depth of God's grace. It was during a church service when the speaker spoke about how Jesus made her life anew. It was a vibrant speaker who came to the Teens' church at the time. She spoke passionately about how the sacrifice on the cross was for each of us individually. I was smitten – both by her delivery and her conviction. I felt a weight lift off my shoulders as I wholeheartedly accepted this truth and embraced the freedom and joy that come with salvation.

I Asked 4 People, “Who Do You Say That I Am?”

Let’s look at it this way; I am following the footsteps of Jesus in the stunning context where he asked his disciples this question, “What are the people saying about me, the Son of Man? Who do they believe I am?” They answered, “Some are convinced you are John the Baptizer, others say you are Elijah reincarnated, or Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”

But you—who do you say that I am?” Jesus asked.

Narrowing Down My Niche

Sometimes you start to doubt your own unique identity. Sometimes you get confused with the reality of what you’re trying to do and how you’re going about it. Sometimes you just need more depth in understanding what you are already doing. I wanted to see me through the lens of my closest friends… and they showed up for me in a different way than I expected them to.

I am humbled to think that this is what S, P, M and B think of me.

Question 1:
When you think of "AMAKAMEDIA," what vibes or feelings do you get?

S: One who is very passionate and pours her emotions into her content.

P: Vibes of authenticity and openness.

M: Amaka as a person.  Personal blog, where she shares her journey, news or some stuffs like that.

B: AMAKAMEDIA

Question 2:
What words or phrases pop into your head when you hear "AMAKAMEDIA"?

Promise Me – Pastor Jerry Eze

Every time I click on the ‘New Post’ button to draft a blog post, a fixed sentence serves as a constant reminder for me:
“Amaka, remember your life is meant to showcase the glory and beauty of God.”
The statement helps me stay on course. Coming across this article on the Teens WhatsApp post this morning, where I serve as a facilitator, stirred me. Yes, I promise!

‘Promise Me’ as written by Pastor Jerry Eze

Promise me that you will never abandon your Purpose to make ignorant folks happy.

Please promise me that you will value Divine Validation over what anyone feels or thinks about you.

Promise me that you will not sabotage yourself and miss your Divine Timing.

Promise me that you will always see the Best out of every situation.

Please promise me that against all odds you won’t let your dream die.

Dear Diary, No One Understands What I’m Feeling (Including Myself!)

This morning after prayers, I received an update on a certain recent happening that got me getting into my feelings.

“She is coming tomorrow.”

What I’m Feeling Now

It’s hard to explain. There are probably things in life that are not meant to be described but meant to be felt. And sometimes, you can’t even understand why you are feeling the way you do. Like, you don’t understand your experience in that moment somewhat.

I just finished crying myself out. Nobody beat me. Lol. But I’m in a challenging season.

I closed my eyes to talk with Him and the tears just flowed and flowed. I believe He understands me. He sees all my struggles, and He knows what’s going on in my mind.

How To Practically Live Daily For God

Living life, in this earthly realm, is a constant war against darkness and the kingdom of darkness. We have no choice even if we try to live in denial. We are fighting every day.

Living Daily For Jesus

How to practically live for jesus every day

The day of judgment is swiftly approaching, and if our eyes are open, we can see that already the righteous judgements of God are being visited upon the earth. A friend of mine recently said, "We are having a rude awakening before the great awakening." I believe it.

It's been an awakening experience for me these past days. My heart is vehemently turned to the things that matter most.

Have you ever felt a mysterious stirring within you, as if your hidden personal destiny was to engage in a noble war against the forces of darkness? This is God calling you to live for Him.

Dear Diary, The Thieves Couldn't Shake It Off

Since Sunday was Easter and yesterday was Easter Monday, can we also say today is Easter Tuesday. Lol. Anyway, Happy Easter Sweethearts!

I Live For Jesus

I feel the world pulling you away from your beliefs, and there are more distractions and temptations than ever before. But there’s hope if you put Jesus at the center of your life. And live for him.

You know I had tried to live for Jesus in my own strength, right? But it was exhausting and discouraging. Until I began relying on the Holy Spirit, Jesus’ life became free to flow through me. Now, I have what my heart longed for most — an intimate relationship with God.

I find that the nearer I draw close to God and come to know Him more, the greater His desires naturally become mine. Obedience to His will becomes easier. His instructions become a priority.

How To Love Your "Enemies"

A good old friend asked me, "is there anybody in your life right now whom you are not in good terms with?", "Nobody" I responded unconvincingly. Then my friend asked again, "are you sure there is n-o-b-o-d-y? How about your colleague, the one you told me about?". "Erm.  .  ."

Then it dawned on me that I was erring.

Loving Your Enemies

In this part of the world where I come from, we generally think that "enemies" are our "village people". People who totally mean harm and only wish the worst for us. Lol. Funny but not funny.

On today's article “your enemy” doesn’t just mean the enemy in your village, of course. We’re not talking about witches and wizards or the monitoring spirits (kidding!) . . . we’re talking about real people. So

Righteousness Is A Gift

I woke up chanting these words, "righteousness is a gift. Righteousness is a gift". Righteousness is probably one of the most misunderstood words in the Christian fold and it should not be. Today, I am going to share with you something I have been blessed to receive.

The Free Gift Of Righteousness

There are times when I do things that I think are not pleasing to God or don't do things that I think should please God, I feel as though I lost my righteousness. I tend to fall into the temptation of condemning myself because I give room to the lies of the devil. But Praise God! The moment I believe God treats us as righteous apart from our works or obedience, my faith grows!

And this is what God wants you to use your faith for.

You are not righteous because of how morally upright you are. You are not righteous because you exercise self-control. You are not righteous because you read 10 chapters of the Bible daily. You are not righteous because you feel righteous. But you are the very righteousness of God in Christ solely because the sacrifice of Jesus made you so. It is grace.

Apostle Paul said, "I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" (Galatians 2:21).

The Cleansing Tears

I woke up crying – sentimental tears welled up with a lovely piece of music.

Christmas Tears

I cry a lot. It's no longer news that my eyes are teary. Little things make me cry.

And I believe within each of us are reservoirs brimful with tears.

Tears of joy and gratitude. Sentimental tears that well up when our hearts are touched – an inexplicable tears that flow without control.

Tears of frustration and anger. Tears of disappointment and hurt. Then the sobering choking tears of grief.

Stop Chasing After Your Dreams

It's a New Week. No long story. Here is a reminder for us to focus on the most important thing.

What's Your Chase?

You've been told to follow your dreams. Yeah? But what do you do when what you decide to chase starts to run away.

Do you stop running? Or, do you continue to run?

12.9.17

DIARY: I Come To The End Of Myself

Everything we are and everything we have is IN God. Let's keep that in mind so that we do not exalt ourselves over God and other people, and to remain conscious of the fact that everything we have was given to us by God.

Less Of Me, More Of Jesus

Today I come to the end of myself.

You know that moment? The moment when you’re persuaded that the more you insist on selling what you know or on your rights, the more frustrated you will be. The moment when you realize that the more you set goals and pursuits for yourself, the further you will be from Christ. The moment when you finally realize there's got to be more of Jesus and less of you.

14.8.17

One Thing I Like About God

When our "I love God" becomes nothing less than an expression of doing-bound services, we may need to take a look at what we mean by love.

I Like God

I checked for the word 'like' in my most favourite English dictionary, Merriam-Webster;

Like means to get pleasure from simply being with someone.

Then I checked the word 'love' in the same dictionary;

Love is a feeling of strong affection for someone.

My Journey Of Waiting On God And Trusting Him All Year

Christmas Story starts with a fine girl called Mary being told, in a special way, that she will give birth to a very special baby who will be named Jesus.

And she's like "How Shall This Be?"

I can relate it to being told, in a weird way, that I will get a job that will be called a dream.

Trusting Through Conception To Delivery

The conception of prophecy starts with just a word, but the process that leads to its manifestation can be a long, tough one.

Dear Diary, I've Got My Mind Made Up

The 30-Day Man Fast is a period where a woman stays away from men to focus on Jesus.

I choose Jesus

My prayer during this fast has been for God to fix me me, fill me, change me so I don’t make the same mistakes I’ve made in my past relationships.

Top 5 Relationship Goals We Should Strive For

Relationship is not about hugging and kissing and caring about someone who says they love you. Romantic relationship (the way God designed it to be) is being in love with someone who loves you as much as Jesus does. Oh, yeah!

"cute" isn't the goal.

Relationship Goals

Sometimes it’s hard to know what is required. There are so many pictures of couples doing really cute, funny things together with the caption “relationship goals”. While the idea of holding hands, doing funny things and awkward poses is cute and sweet, it’s not exactly what we should be looking out for on having real relationships.

Day 9: Only Him

I had a great encounter with God through His word. It was like when Jesus sat down next to the Samaritan woman by the well.

RELATIONSHIP: Where To Find True Lasting Satisfaction

How often do you feel sad, lonely and empty inside? How often do you feel anxious, depressed, hopeless, angry or hurt?

Our feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, hurt, guilt, shame, loneliness and fear are telling us one thing: something is missing.

The Love That Satisfies

I owe this post to the personal encounters in the 30-Day Man Fast inspired by God with whom I am falling madly in love. My big hole of emptiness is being filled. Hallelujah!

Being Complete In Him

Happy New Week, sweethearts! How are you doing? I've missed you so much. It's been like ages since I interacted with you in the comment box. That'd change soon.

Today, I want to share with you a word that's been brewing in my Spirit. :)

Complete In Christ

I am complete in Christ. You are complete in Christ. We are all complete in Christ. Hallelujah! Amen!

PHOTO: How To Be Holy

We might think being holy is an impossible task. But you know, if God can say "Be ye holy, for I am holy", then it means holiness is attainable.

For me to stick to my new year's resolution, I need to keep this in mind.

Holiness is a requirement to be a carrier of God's glory. May God give us the grace to be holy for His glory in Jesus' name. Amen.

P.S. I saw the "with with" just after publishing, I have decided to ignore it. Creating this picture was not that easy. Lol. (pardon me)
