21 Days of Praise: Day 20 - Peace in His Presence

Happy New Week! Welcome to Day 20 of our #21DaysofPraise series! Today, we focus on the incomparable peace that God provides. His peace is enduring and perfect, calming our hearts even in the midst of chaos.

Praise for His Peace

🕊️

Verse of the Day: John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — (NIV)

“I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!” — (TPT)
Hard times, as painful as they may be, happen to us all.

No one is exempt.

Experiencing trouble, hardship, and sometimes, heartbreak, is inevitable. But we can all have peace through struggle because God is with us.

I used to be a worrier until God delivered me of the panic attacks and anxiety, and granted me peace. Meditating on John 14:27, I felt a profound sense of peace. It was as if God was wrapping His arms around me, reassuring me that everything would be okay. That peace gave me the courage to face the challenges ahead with confidence and trust in His plan.

When The Heartbreaker Doesn't Deserve Your Apology

Happy New Week Sweethearts! I write this post with swollen eyes and dried tears. The tears have stopped flowing but the traces are visible. What I'm about to share with you today radiates from a heart flooding with peace.

Blessed Are The Peacemakers

Blessed are the peacemakers_amakamedia

Heartbreak blows you open. That's certainly not the most wonderful opening sentence, but tell me that's not wisdom. Don't leave me!

Oh. You didn't catch my drift? Sorry. Maybe that's why I drifted from the relationships I threw myself into, because the guys couldn't catch me. Wisdom. Don't leave me!

Oops. I'm not playing with you like they do in Italy. Give me another chance. Please. You can see I am not writing don't leave me in italics like I did in the previous paragraphs.

Taking A Break From Taking A Break

Hi sweetheart. Welcome to a brand new week. Hope you are doing great!

Until His Kingdom Come

Taking a break

Aside from the very first two weeks after my Wedding Day, these past two weeks have been the most exciting, refreshing and eventful one. I literally was locked up at home with my husband for the entire period. And trust me, I enjoyed every minute of it!

It’s surprising how loud silence can be. Especially when you’re not used to it. This has been my experience each day, sitting there in the arms of the one I love. Alone. It was beautifully silent — but for the oscillating sound of our neighbour's generator set — and my soul decompressed from weeks on end in the rush to achieve my goals. My body and soul has found fresh air there that was hard to come by before the lockdown. I am grateful.

I want you to join me. Not in my husband's arms (that is never going to happen) but in some silent, occasional solitude of your own. You need a break from the chaos, from the noise and the crowds, more than you may think at first. You need the spiritual disciplines of silence and solitude.

What Comes First — Peace Or Happiness?

I'm in a happy place now. I'm thinking, can you be at peace if you're not happy? The answer probably depends on our perspective of both experiences. . . on whether we get them from external factors or from within.

Peace And Happiness

I hardly see myself praying for happiness. But I have always seen myself praying for peace.

Happiness is something that I think everyone can easily find. You can find it when you buy new clothes. Get a better job. Money. Laughter. Regardless of what it takes to make you laugh so hard that your stomach hurts, you can achieve staying happy every day. Little things can make you happy, but it takes quite an effort for you be at peace.

How To Experience Peace In Your Life Every Day

Father, You have promised that we can experience the kind of peace that passes all understanding. That's Your kind of peace, Lord. And it's the kind we crave.

Peace In Your Heart

It almost feels like we have to fight for our peace every day. It is becoming harder to find daily peace; not easier.

Our peace is so easily stolen. It takes just a simple glance on social media or a mounting to-do list for uncertainty and restlessness to rise up and overwhelm our hearts with anxiety. A long look at the success and joys of those around you can lure your heart into a never-ending longing for the possessions, personality and positions that we don’t have. Even a quick encounter with a difficult person can quickly take your days of peace.

Ah, it is crucial now more than ever that we allow the peace of God to dwell in our hearts.

May Peace Fill Your Heart

Remember peace is a gift from God and we must learn to defend it relentlessly everyday. Bible tells us, “Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the Devil” (Ephesians 6:11). There are so many events on a daily basis that will try and steal your peace. Stay guarded!

Rays Of Peace

I believe in the power of words. As a copywriter, I have learned to decree a creative word for each new month. I find that doing this helps me work productively and live consciously, as everything tends to manifest towards the declaration of the Word—from creating content to dressing up to living the moment. I have seen the Word become flesh.

Dear Diary, No Picture To Show For It

Always remember your life is to showcase the glory and beauty of God.

No Pictures, More Glorious

That Sunday, in March, I was asked to speak on a subject related to business. I was standing in front of over 800 people at the church service. The excitement of the congregation was contagious. Being a speaker where people laugh, clap and respond to your questions feels amazing. We had fun. But, I have no picture to show for it.

Dear Diary, I'm In The Middle Of A War

July 2017
~War, Amaka, war~

Every day I’m in a battle.

The prize? My attention. My time. My priorities. And most valuable of all, my heart.

My enemy is cunning and crafty with many tried and true weapons at his disposal. His favourites — schedules, conflict, busyness, social media, men. Each of these he knows very well and plans skillfully.

DIARY: A New Rhythm With God

I honestly didn't know I was going to do this. It's a spontaneous post. Since I have defined Rhythm With God on Instagram, I don't think we should have it repeated here. If you're not following yet, please do. 😇

Rhythm With God

It's a beautiful thing when you find your rhythm and get in sync with God's plan for your life.

5 Bible Verses to Start the Week

Happy New week! There is no better way to start the week than to have an awesome time in God's word.

5 Bible Verses to Start the Week

Many times, I feel helpless and out of control. I can only turn to the One who gives me hope for living - God. You might struggle with depression, heartache, relationships, office-work and school-related challenges such as assignment deadlines and exams. Through it all, all you need is a word from God.

These verses are very encouraging. . .

Stop Disturbing My Life

Hi sweeties! How are you today? The weather is so cool over here. There is a gentle breeze coming through the window in my little cozy room. Hmm .  .  . *inhales slowly* I am enjoying a breathe of fresh air.

Lemme tell you about it. :)

Do Not Disturb

I am a calm person. I hate drama.

A-ha! Remembering that I told I do have a dramatic personality yesterday, and then saying that I hate drama today sounds a bit awkward to me. Lol. There are two different things, you know that. Right?

STOP. Be Still

Hellooooo, who is home?! I'm back oooo. Awww . . . My heart melted when I read all your comments in my previous post, and your emails? Oh my! Thank you so much for your love and support. Thank you for being a sweetheart. Thank you. God bless you richly!

Be Still

Mehn, you never know your heart as completely as God does.

I have a calm demeanor that can be almost visible even to the blind. But appearing calm is one thing, having a heart that is calm is another. I'd been wrestling with myself, or perhaps with God, for days now.

PODCAST: How to Find Peace Within

How can I find peace of mind? It’s a question often asked, but rarely answered in a satisfying way.

Some say peace of mind lies in security. Some say it’s about finding stillness and calm in life. Some say it’s about acceptance and letting go. Some even say it's about contentment. I say it’s being attuned with the Holy Spirit - who lives in you.

Rays of Peace. . .

PODCAST: #PrayForNigeria

Tomorrow, #NigeriaDecides who her new president will be. But it seems the moment of election creates fear in the heart of many Nigerians. Some have travelled out of the country being scared of what the future holds. While some are anxious, if not confused.

So I thought about what I could do to drive out fear. I went on the street, told a couple of friends, and got as many as I could to say a #PrayerForNigeria. It's quite inspiring to find people praying for their very own country.

This is not only fun, but also spiritual. Psalms 122:6 says: "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee." Nigeria is our Jerusalem, and praying for Nigeria means keying into her prosperity. This is beyond the election. It is a movement and a shift of wealth to those who know their God. It is about proclaiming the blessings of God. It is about taking your position. It is about being a world-changer. We are in a season of blessings. Remember?

Join us. Say a #PrayerForNigeria today.

REVIEW: The Peaceful Dove

Mum needed to take a Bible Study Class on the topic; The Holy Spirit as a Dove. I was stunned when she called to ask for hints on the topic. It wasn't odd that she sought my help. The fact that she'd have to use the info for a Bible Study Class marvelled me. O-m-g! What could a good daughter possibly do? I researched. Yeah! And in that course, I fell in love with doves. (I always fall in love. Always.)

The Peaceful Dove

Imagine a prayer like: "Lord, I want to be as a dove. Give us marriages as doves. Help all my friends to live as doves too. Amen." You bet God will not hesitate to answer such prayer. Hehehehe. . . That's my prayer for today. Get ready, for you shall develop wings tomorrow. Yels!

POEM: Stressed Out Heart

I felt not-so-cool yesterday (and I didn't want to blog rubbish). So I wrote this poem as a great relief. I do hope this helps you out of depression, anxiety, and all other forms of worry too.

Stressed Out Heart

All words are in cluster
Even pictures are blurry
I can't pin them in
I need to gather my thoughts
But there is a blockage
Which power is behind this?

POEM: His Presence

I live in His presence

His presence
is the fullness of His glory
is the radiance of His beauty
is the manifestation of His power
is the reflection of His majesty

His presence
is contentment
is fulfillment
is joy
is liberty
