Writing In Your Diary Helps You Keep Track Of Your Life

It's a new day! What a great day to be alive! Thanks for joining me on this journey of keeping track of my life. I will be 30 on the 26th day of the coolest month of the year. And I have been sharing my lessons from being a 20-something right at the start of June.

This is the fifteenth lesson. I hope it inspires you in some way. Happy reading!

God Has A Track Record In My Life

At 15, I got a diary as a birthday gift. Ever since, I have not stopped keeping a diary.

Each year, I got myself a private diary to pour out my emotions, say what I would have said to a best friend, and just write.

At 24, I launched this blog as a birthday gift to myself. I didn't exactly know what I was doing but I knew it was the best thing to do at the time. I wanted to share my feelings and thoughts with the world.

Personal Keynotes From Excellence in Leadership Conference 2019

John Cage said, "We only hear what we listen for" and I totally agree. I attended the Excellent Leadership Conference today to listen to what I needed to hear.

This is me sharing what I heard with you. May something shift inside of you as you read. Amen.

Notes From ELC2019

First of all, I heard about the Excellence in Leadership Conference via one of my favourite WhatsApp groups. The group admin invited us (more like motivated us) to attend ELC2019 as part of our capacity building activities. Who wouldn't want to hear from this line-up of speakers? I just had to. So glad I did!

ELC2019 themed 'Great Leadership' is a two-day conference hosted by Daystar Christian Centre which started today and is to end tomorrow. The speakers slotted for today were; Rev. Sam Adeyemi, Pst. Nike Adeyemi, Dr. Joe Abah and Ali Baba.

Now let me share what I reflectively gleaned from each speaker. . .

BOOK: Kissing The Face Of God By Sam Hinn

I enjoy reading a book in transit. I picked up this book from my personal library the other day and didn't return it for two days.

While reading, I felt a need to review the book, albeit, share insight from the book.

Kissing The Face Of God By Sam Hinn

Kissing The Face Of God is not one of these popular motivational and self help books you see around. It is a spiritual book. Just reading this book brings me to tears and makes me long for more of God in my life.

BOOK: You Are All That! By Paula White

Among the books I read during the 30-Day Man Fast is 'You Are ALL THAT!' by Paula White. It is a book specially made for people like me. But wait a minute, who am I? Lol. That's what this book is about!

You are ALL THAT: Understanding God's Design For Your Life

This book is one of the oldest in my library, yet it brings new perspectives and principles to a Jesus-loving single woman like me.

Nope, I don't mean it is for only women. It is actually for everyone.

The power of God in this book is amazing, and the power of God in the author, Paula White is amazing.

BOOK REVIEW: "Flashes Of Thought" By Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoun

This is not exactly what a book review should look like. But hey, it's me sharing what I find interesting and helpful with you. *winks*

'Flashes Of Thought' By Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoun

The first impression I had about this book was that it has got to be about politics and government. Knowing I'm not keen on politics, I didn't see why I should read the book. (that's me literally judging a book by its cover there again) But when I turned over its pages, my thought changed . . .

BOOK REVIEW: 'The Spider's Web' By Dumebi Ezar Ehigiator

Yay! This book happens to be my first birthday gift this year. Frances visited me for the first time on the very first day of June and said, "I know you like books, so I brought this for you. I'm the first person to give you a gift" Trust me, she beat everyone else to the punch. Thanks babes. You are simply amazing! *blows kisses*

Now let's review . . .

'The Spider's Web' By Dumebi Ezar Ehigiator

I couldn't wait to read this book. It is so beautiful to look at. Lovely cover. Nice design. They say "don't judge a book by its cover", but I literally did this time. I knew it had to be as captivating as its cover.

STORY: I Met Jerry (3)

"Did anybody call you?" Bro. Ignatius asked me. "Somebody like who?" "One man came here on Tuesday to collect your number. I think he needs you to create a jingle for him because he mentioned it. So I gave it to him."

Magic and Wonder

Bro. Ignatius attended Bible study that week but I didn't. So it was during Sunday service that he told me about some man who came looking for me and asking for my number.
Who could it be? I had no idea who he might be.
