DIARY: November to Remember (2019)

Consider what God has brought you through in the past. In spite of your current circumstances, how can that give you hope for the future?

November 2019

One of the most amazing things I can say about God is this: He is faithful. He stays closer than a brother, His mercy is new every morning, and He never leaves us alone or forsakes us in the dark times.

Sometimes in order to look forward we have to look back. We have to see God's track record in our lives to be assured of our future. This is me keeping track of God's faithfulness in my life.

Less Is More When God Is Involved

It's a New Week. I believe someone needs this encouragement as much as I do. Let's not deprive ourselves of joy in the “little” we have, we see and we know.

Less Is More

This article was inspired by a Youth and Singles programme which took place in my local church last Friday.

I am privileged to be an executive member of the church youth group. We started a monthly fellowship with great passion and expectations. But somewhere along the line, many of us grew weary due to certain things we couldn't control.

How To Create Personal Time For Yourself When You Don't Have The Time

No matter how much you love what you do, keeping a balance between work and your physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing is IMPORTANT.

Create Personal Time

It had been a hurricane weekend. I skipped a few "personal" time and the fatigue had stormed my heart and left a trail of emotional debris. Even sleep didn't relieve the weakness. Was it the event, or just my body's edging into midlife that had made me so weary? That was when I started thinking about taking a break.

We are all busy.

Being busy is good but our lives doesn't have to be so rushed that we can't see where the time is running to.

Is The Year Half Full Or Half Empty?

Happy New Half-Year sweethearts! July 3rd is the middle of the year. Half of the year is gone, half of the year is still to be. I hope you are fine and in good health.

My church family thought it was all about fashion when I wore a turtleneck piece yesterday. Lol. As I write this, I am battling with cold, cough and conjunctivitis. But I.will.be.fine.

Half Full Or Half Empty

I've always heard about the glass half full, half empty phenomenon. I got intrigued when the idea popped up in my head while in a meeting with the youth executives in my local church. (Hi Johnero!)

I am a worrier by nature but encourager by spiritual gifts. So I know how it feels to be hopeful as well as uncertain.

Time To Unleash The "Child" In You

Sometimes we wish we could be children again. But the good news is: We can. You may be "grown up" now but your inner child is still alive.

Can you think of anything you have done in the past that you would describe as fun?

What's Fun To You?

There is an unspoken expectation that comes with being a “grown up”, everything child-like dissipates with that growth forever. But what we may have not realized is that the coping mechanisms we need as adults to get around any stressful season are inherently learned when we were children.

Dear Diary, The Testimony Is Like This

There is no better way to wrap up Dear Diary for the year than the performance of the very Word of God. It is so obvious that God sees the end from the beginning. I'm awed!

Word Made Flesh

And when I cried unto the Lord God of my fathers
The Lord heard my voice
and looked on my affliction
my labour
my oppression

Gosh! I Hate Meetings

Meetings are one of the biggest time wasters ever. I've attended a couple of meetings over the past week and thought to myself "So, what did we achieve with this?"

Meetings Suck

I was asked to design an e-flier with respect to a meeting that is scheduled for Sunday. While at it, I remembered the previous meeting I attended . . .

Don't Be A Fool Watching TV

There is a difference between "watching TV makes you a fool" and "don't be a fool watching TV". Just so you don't get it twisted.

I'd rather tell you how not to be a fool while watching TV.

How To Watch TV Productively

I am an introvert but a lot of people find it hard to believe, because the kind of work I do constantly pushes me out of my comfort zone to "present" an extroverted personality. I like it anyway.

The truth is, when I'm home, I stay locked up in my room most of the time.

Time To Pursue, Overtake And Recover

Receive divine speed! Get set on divine speed and break earthly speed limits!

Divine Speed Activated

Among the dictionaries I checked, I mostly prefer how the advanced learner’s dictionary defined speed: Speed is moving quickly towards a goal or performing at an expected rate or level or when things happen more quickly beyond expectation.

Set Time

I don't know the level you are operating right now, but God says you cannot be limited to that level: He is taking you to a greater level NOW. The set time is here!

The Set Time

A set time is an appointment with destiny. A time for celebration, fulfillment, and manifestation of the Word of God concerning you.

What has God spoken to you about/ Get ready to see it happen!

And God Says "STOP"

*phew* Have you ever been at a point in your ministry or career, and wondered why God would lead you along so clearly, only to bring you to a sudden standstill? I'd not be surprised if your answer is yes.

And God Says "STOP"

God gently says to me again, “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10) This time the verse speaks to me like never before.

It's been speaking to me many times as I've followed His leading and then gotten confused when I felt Him say, "Amaka, stop."

PODCAST: Timing is Everything

It hasn't happened yet. And you're like;  "When, God, when?!" "For how long will I wait?!" You are tired. You are almost giving up. Hold on!

God knows what he is doing because He is never late. You have to understand that God is doing the very best for you right now.

Rays of hope. . .
