Interested in Building a Wholesome Marriage? Join The MACH Family

For over five years, Kachi and I have had deep conversations with more than 30 couples (some of which we recorded and shared on our YouTube channel). We’ve also spoken with intending couples, singles preparing for godly relationships, and newlyweds who simply needed a little guidance. And one thing kept ringing again and again:
Building a wholesome marriage is work, and it becomes easier and richer when you’re surrounded by the right people.

That’s the Heart Rays behind the MACH Family.

The MACH Family Community Is Now Open.

Flyer announcing the MACH Family community by PerfectMachForever, showing a smiling couple dressed in white, sitting together by a lakeside view with a warm sunset background. Text on the flyer lists benefits such as one-on-one counseling, couples game nights, retreats, mentorship for newlyweds, matching singles, and more.
💛

Over the years, we’ve poured our hearts into creating more than 500 YouTube videos, sharing moments, telling stories, and offering lessons from our journey in relationships, marriage, and life in general.

But now, the vision is evolving and deepening. Something bigger and more exciting is being birthed and we want you on this journey with us.

So, what exactly is the MACH Family?

RELATIONSHIP: What You Should Know Before You Start

There are so many interesting things I like to talk about— from love to marriage, career to media, singlehood to motherhood, and so on. But every time I am given an opportunity to speak to youths about love and relationships, I feel like a big fish swimming in her very own water. I literally come alive. Gosh!

Before You Begin a Relationship

A blog post cover featuring Amakamedia and PerfectMachForever with the words ‘Before You Begin a Relationship’ – insights on love, relationships, and preparation before starting.
📝

Entering into a relationship is not something you do because you just feel like it. It is not a random event in your life. It actually can be a life-defining or life-altering experience for you. So it is important that you know what you are embarking on. Like the Bible says in Luke 14:28-30, where Jesus uses the analogy of a builder who must first calculate the expenses to ensure they have enough resources to complete a tower, and a king who assesses his strength before engaging in war.

The truth is that you must understand and be prepared for the full commitment and potential sacrifices required to be in a relationship. So, the question you should ask yourself is:

Am I ready to be in a relationship?
Am I?

If your answer is NO, then I am happy for you. You can move on to another blog post. Maybe these ones about Rocking Your Singlehood, Falling in Love With Your Life and Loving Jesus. Hahaha!

Is Matching Outfits in Marriage Cheesy or Powerful?

I always knew we’d be that couple.

You know, the ones who match outfits, laugh at inside jokes, hold hands and show up at events like a walking love song. Literally. 😄 It has always been my dream. I knew I wanted to experience the love that’s very visible and vibrant. Soft and rugged. Deep and aligned. All that.

And guess what?

God gave me that…. and more.

🤍

Kachi and I have been beautifully matching outfits from the day we agreed to be committed to each other and stay together forever. We match not just in clothes, but also in purpose, in passion, and in vibe. Ah, it’s the little things that make the biggest impact. I love love love it for me.

Making the Most of the Last Days of Pregnancy

It’s the first week of the year, and I’m still pregnant. I honestly can’t believe Kachi and I miscalculated this thing again. Lol. We were hoping for a December baby, but the doctor wasn’t on board with inducing labor to avoid the risk of a premature delivery. And I guess God had his own plans and probably laughed at ours. Hahaha!

So here I am, still pregnant and soaking up every bit of these final moments.

Last Days of Pregnancy

Final days of pregnancy_amakamedia
First Sunday of the year

Seasons of life are as beautiful as the phrase itself. While this might be my last pregnancy, it’s also the completion of my family. I am giving my daughters their final sibling, and completing our gallery wall with no missing children. Thank You, Sweet Jesus!

So yes, my season of having pregnancy announcements, gender reveals, and late-night feedings may be coming to an end after this baby, but as my husband said, “When one season ends, another begins.” I still have a while left in this one, and what an amazing thing that is. So I am going to breathe and enjoy every second of it, even the uncomfortable parts. I’ll savor the moments of feeling a baby hiccup in my belly, and laugh at the fifth time in a row I get up and waddle-walk to the bathroom, because this season will not last forever as another one begins.

Pregnant at Christmas: Mary’s Story and My Own

It was the Sunday before Christmas and the atmosphere was all lovely, warm and lively. Being pregnant I couldn’t help relating to Mary, the mother of Jesus. She was also pregnant at this time of the year, but her journey was far more extraordinary.

Picture a Pregnant Mary

As I sat in church, surrounded by the warmth of Christmas songs and the joy of the season, I couldn’t help but think of Mary. I felt a deep connection to Mary. She carried not just a baby but the Saviour of the world, navigating a journey filled with uncertainty and yet rooted in unwavering faith.

I also felt grateful. Grateful for this new life growing inside me. Grateful for Mary’s example of faith and surrender. And most of all, grateful for Jesus, whose birth changed everything.

And I pictured Mary.

I wondered how Mary would feel at the moment, seeing all the mothers walking in her footsteps. She said yes to God’s incredible plan, even when she didn’t have all the answers. Her journey reminds me that motherhood—whether we’re birthing children, ideas, or dreams—is always a partnership with God.

RELATIONSHIP: How Do You Know a Christian Brother is Serious About You?

Lol. Let me be very honest. There is no way to know these days; you literally need God. That was my immediate response to a mentee who asked how to know if a Christian brother is serious about her. As I thought about it a bit more, I realized that writing this article could help many more who are navigating the complexities of Christian relationships.

I live for this kind of conversation. I mean, I wrote a whole book on how I got into some of these situations too.

Is He Serious About You?

How to know he is serious
🦋

The struggle is reealllll. It’s tough out here. Figuring out if a Christian brother is genuinely serious about you can feel like navigating a maze. In a world filled with imposters, charmers, and those who are just passing time, how can you tell who’s serious about walking this journey of life with you?

First of all, I want to say congratulations on reaching this point where you start to consider whether this brother is really worth staying with. You are very blessed and mature enough to recognize that this is one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make in life.

Now, let’s get to how you can discern if a Christian brother is genuinely serious about you:

1. He Prioritizes Prayer and Spiritual Growth

A serious Christian brother will consistently prioritize prayer, not just for himself but for the relationship. If he regularly seeks God’s guidance for both his life and your relationship, it’s a strong indication of his commitment. His desire for spiritual growth will reflect in how he supports and encourages you on your journey too. Regular prayer together and spiritual discussions reflect his commitment to building a faith-based relationship.

You should also pray harder on your own; ask God to reveal his true intentions. Seek confirmation from Him. Remember, the Holy Spirit can give you insights that are beyond what the eyes can see and the heart can feel.

2. He Values Your Principles and Boundaries

He is NOT after sex. Yes, let me put it out plainly. The one who is serious respects your body, boundaries and values. He will be attentive to your convictions and will seek to align his actions with your shared beliefs. His respect for your values will be evident in how he interacts with you.

Watch his actions, not just his words. Consistency is key. A serious Christian brother doesn’t just talk the talk—he walks the walk. If his values are more about personal pleasure or worldly pursuits while yours are about serving God, you’re bound to clash. Be with someone who values his relationship with God even more than you do.

Married For 5 Years! That’s 1,826 days of Being a Wife!

Today marks my five-year wedding anniversary with Kachi! I remember being on my honeymoon, thinking that milestones like 5, 10, and 15 years were so far away. Yet, here we are celebrating five wonderful years together. My heart is full of thanksgiving.

5 Years In Marriage

I have really come a long way - from crying over heartbreaks upon heartbreaks to being able to get through a difficult season and now, being married to Kachi. Can you believe it’s already 5 years? Wow!

To be honest, I do not know where this article is headed. My heart is so full. I’ve been in a reflective state for the past week, and I am in awe of how my life has become so much better every passing day. God has faithfully kept His word; He has never failed me yet.

Have you ever looked back on your life and just cry happy tears? That’s me right now. It’s feels like I’m looking back at my younger self, giving her a wink, and telling her I’m happy she’s having fun.

Five years may not seem that long, but our marriage has already evolved multiple times. Kachi and I are already different people than we were back in 2018 (and especially different from the people we were when we met in 2007!)

Two Babies Under Two Years?! How?

Having babies close in age is not for the faint of heart. Phew. There is double diaper changes, double crying, double rocking to sleep and double everything. My two children are barely 15 months apart. This has been the most terrifying and interesting time of my life.

I share how I’m dealing with all the emotions and tantrums in the video below:

How To Rekindle Romance After Having A Baby

On Heart Rays, we don’t do boring relationships. Having a fun-filled and enjoyable marriage is a MAJOR goal. If you are not intentional, you may get swept up in the intensity and demands of new parenthood that you forget about being a couple. Rekindling romance after having a baby is not a popular topic but it is very common.

Let’s talk.

Romance After Baby

Romance after baby

In the beginning, it was just me and Kachi. We do anything we want and go anywhere we want. We were spontaneous and adventurous. (See our honeymoon adventures here). I could step out for 24 hours without holding a bag. Kachi and I could stay up all night talking, watching movies and building on our intimacy.

We had some pillars of a great relationship: good communication, trust, physical affection, a good sex life, emotional support, shared interests, mutual respect in the relationship, and time spent together having fun.

Then a baby happened! (Meet our beautiful baby here 😊 )

As we started to find our parenting groove, we realized that our intimacy was starting to shake a bit. Thank God for the Spirit of discernment!

Below are some tips on how to bring the passion back post-baby, straight from the heart:

DIARY: My First Trimester Update (Pregnancy Journey)

Exactly a month ago, I officially announced my pregnancy on YouTube through a music video. It is probably the most monumental thing to happen to me in my life so far, and I am documenting my journey on this blog.

This has been on the draft list for so long and now it’s time to publish it. 😊

Mid September 2020 - Mid December 2020
Week 1 - week 12

My blog, Heart Rays has been with me for the best part of my twenties, and over the years I’ve shared personal anecdotes (choosing a career path, finding love, getting heartbroken, getting a job, battling with lust, quitting a job, getting married, etc) and I enjoy looking back on those from time to time.

For those who have followed me from the early days, it feels like a natural progression for my blog as I now transcend into my early thirties with my first pregnancy.

I wouldn’t say finding out I was pregnant wasn’t overwhelming, scary, exciting, surprising etc etc etc. It took me a while to get my head around it. I didn’t know what and how to share the journey. I also didn’t FEEL that it was the right thing to do. However, I spilled my emotions into my private diary most of the time. And now I KNOW this is the right time for me to share publicly.

Dear Diary,

This is our first child, so everything about my pregnancy has been new. And with that comes a mix of emotions. There’s not a day that goes by that I haven’t thought about my pregnancy and I find myself questioning far more than I would otherwise do — Is this twinge or ache or pain normal? Should I be feeling this exhausted? Why am I getting headaches more often? Why am I not being sick? Is anything even happening in there?

That last sentence might sound funny, but I didn’t have the first scan until around 8 weeks. Because I wasn’t experiencing the normal symptoms (mainly sickness, although I was feeling tired constantly) and of course couldn’t feel anything in my stomach at this point, I started to constantly question whether everything was okay.

I asked Google, “when is the baby supposed to kick my stomach?”. Yeah, something like that.

Do You Believe In Marriage At First Sight? (Interview)

For weeks, I battled with myself whether to bring The MACH Show onto Heart Rays. I didn't want to mix both forms of content but it dawned on me that if I don't share what I've been up to lately, then my status as a Lifestyle Blogger would probably be questionable. Lol. Lately, I have been expressing myself more on YouTube. So, if you are not subscribed to PerfectMachForeverTV, you just might be missing something.

Anyway, I have decided to try as much as possible to share highlights from each episode of The MACH Show as being led. I trust that it would bless you. Here is the second episode:

Married At First Sight

----- Introduction ----

Presenter (Me): Hi guys. This is PerfectMachForeverTV. Welcome again to our channel. Today, we have this fascinating couple here to tell us about their journey. . . we'll get to know them and then have some fun! (Everyone smiles)

Presenter (Me): *looks toward the couple* Thank you so much for having us. Let's meet you both.

Nnanna (Husband): Hello Everyone. My name is Nnanna. And that's my wife, *points at her* Irene.

Irene (Wife): *blushes* Irene.

Nnanna (Husband): We are the Inyamah Family.

Igbo and Yoruba: Truth About Inter-Tribal Marriage in Nigeria

I will be doing myself a disservice if I do not post the first few episodes of the MACH Show on Heart Rays. I am not going to lie; since the lockdown, 75% of the time I get to be online is spent on PerfectMachForeverTV. I am so thrilled about the vision and I am doing all I can to steer this fragile birthing phase. I hope you understand.

Can you marry from another tribe? In the third episode of the MACH SHOW, we are exposing the realities of an intertribal marriage in Nigeria. Grab some popcorn because. . . hmm!

Nikki Laoye's Failed Marriage Broke My Heart

Welcome to a New Week Sweethearts! I'm sorry that I have to start the week with this. I have been so restless in my spirit since I heard about her divorce.

Christian Failed Marriages

Christian failed marriages

In 2015, I blogged about Nikki Laoye. I shared how much I adore her love story. The fact that she and her ex husband (jeez! Ex hus-what?? That doesn't even sound OK to me) married as virgins was a source of comfort, sort of encouragement to me. At that time, I was a Christian single walking in purpose with a resolve to keep myself for marriage.

Dressed Up For The MACH Show This Sunday

Happy Style-Sunday Sweethearts! It feels so great to be able to go to church again at such a time as this. We had to shoot an episode of the MACH show immediately after the church service and I didn't want to go through the hurdles of changing outfits. This is What-I-Wore.

The MACH Show Style

The MACH show_PerfectMachForever

I had started this paragraph with "My husband and I have a YouTube channel. . ." but I deleted it. Then, I wrote "Kachi and I create videos on YouTube. . ." and deleted it again. I didn't want to sound like those women who'd seize every opportunity they have to rub their marital status on our faces. Lol. But, isn't it incredibly surprising how life changes once marriage happens?

Marriage has been such an amazing experience. I am so grateful for it and my passion for promoting the Kingdom marriage increases daily. A healthy marriage gives the world a beautiful picture of the gospel.

Based on this understanding, Kachi and I birthed The MACH Show — a Kingdom marriage series where we have great conversations and fun times with godly couples.

Marriage Is Still Not The Goal

Hi sweetheart. Welcome to a brand new day. Hope you are doing great! I will be hitting the big 3 and 0 in few days. And since the beginning of June, I have been sharing 20 lessons from my 20-somethings.

This is the ninth lesson. I hope it inspires you in some way. Happy reading!

Married At 28

I'm Kachi's wife

At 23, I wanted to be married.

If only I knew my mind had a lot of revamping to do. I needed a consciousness shift.

I was unwinding. Unfolding. Creating. Recreating. Breaking. Opening. Breaking up. Breaking free. Breaking through. It’s a truly wonderful season to be in.
