I Met God (2)

With tears in my eyes, I looked up to heaven. I had so much on my mind but didn't say a word. "Jerry never wrote you love letters. Did he?" God teased me.

His Letter

Then God handed me an envelope. It was not the usual brown ones I've always known. It was of bright and beautiful colours.

I was so excited. I couldn't wait to open it. I admired the envelope for a few seconds and boom! It was a love letter.

It reads. . .

My Sweetheart,

I hear you. I hear your lonely calls. I hear you when you speak to Me of heartbreak. I hear you when you speak to Me of pain. My sweetheart, I hear you from the depths of your heart.

I am standing beside you, and holding your hands. I am kneeling before you, and catching your tears. I am holding you. I am here.

Sweetheart, speak to Me. Speak to Me freely. Speak to Me not as though I am far away, but speak to Me as your Love, and speak to Me knowing that you are My love. I am not a psychologist, whose job is to listen to you. I am not a priest behind a confession screen, who doesn't know you, or care to. I am not a parent who doesn't understand. I am not a God far away. I am here.

Sweetie, be open so that I can help you. I always hear your heart, but when you do not speak to Me about what you are feeling, that is when you feel unheard, depressed, and alone. I do not want to see you feel alone. Tell Me how you feel, express your anger, and your desperation. Not only can I heal you of your heartbreak, but I can also help you to power up your feelings with love, to inspire the world.

My very own sweet and beautiful Amaka. Always remember I love you whether you love Me right back or not. I do long for your love, but it does not stop Me from loving you. My love does not grow weary like your human love. The love of the flesh cannot endure like My love can.

Come. Come to me so I can drown you and lavish you with love. This is what I do.

Love,
God.

I started looking forward to reading His love letters everyday.

So it dawned on me that God and I have something in common. . . Writing. I write letters now.
