Pronounce These Words; "adjacent" and "blaspheme"

We'll have two lessons today. Are you ready?!


Lesson 2
Word: adjacent

Meaning: Close or near; sharing a border, wall, or point

Pronunciation: (Not so phonetically written but as exactly pronounced like a Nigerian)

I had always pronounced the "adja" as "aja". But discovered the right pronunciation is "ajei"  

Wrong = \ ə-ˈja-sənt\
Right = \ ə-ˈjei-sənt\

Kanipe aja yen sent. Lol. I can imagine your lips right now. I used to say "ajabefore too. Not anymore. ;) 


Lesson 3
Word: blaspheme

Meaning: To talk about God or religion in a way that does not show respect

Pronunciation: (Not so phonetically written but as exactly pronounced like a Nigerian)

I had always pronounced the "pheme" as "fem". But discovered the right pronunciation is "feem"  

Wrong = \blas-ˈfem\
Right = \ blas-ˈfeem\
