STYLE: Get The Best Of Your Wardrobe By Changing Your Approach

Happy Style-Sunday! Today I’m going to show you my best tip for getting the most out of your wardrobe when it comes to combining colour. Leggo!

Change Your Approach

Most of us fall into strong habits when it comes to putting our outfits together. We tend to take the most obvious solution that mirrors what the people around us are doing or what we've done before. But if you’re going to be “extra”, you might need to shake things up a bit.

Take time one night and play dress up in front of your mirror:

  1.  try combining pieces you would NEVER wear together
  2. or, try combining colours you would NEVER wear together
and see what happens. You never know, it just might look cool.

That's exactly what I did.

This colour combination is something else!

New Approach To Colour

Gush. I love colours. Colour is one of the funnest, and most impactful, ways to bring style and personality into your wardrobe. Try to be more intentional about changing your attitude and choices towards colour once in a while. If you’ve always worn X, Y and Z colours, you can choose to continue to wear them – or to infuse other colours into the mix.

I have a number of colours (red, orange, yellow, any bright colour) which form part of my personal style rays; these are my “go to” colours which pop up time and again in my daily ensembles.

However, I am delighted to let you know my attitude towards combining pieces as well as combining colours is changing. Like;
This top: has been worn here before.
This skirt: has been worn here before
This choker: has been worn here before
This headwrap: has been worn here before

but, I have NEVER combined all these pieces to make one outfit. This outfit is very unexpected. Quite "extra" ordinary (for me).

I like what I see, do you? 😀

Sweeties, the thing is:

Learn to have fun in your clothes. It's pretty easy to repeat your clothes like a pro by changing the way you’re combining the items you already have in your wardrobe. Try pairing a more formal piece with something super casual. Mix something fitted with a more structured piece and start creating unexpected new looks.

This was what I wore to church today. I'd like to think I oozed out a Vintage appeal.

P.s Ignore my awkward poses and oily face. And then, ignore this paragraph ;-)

Thanks for watching reading visiting. Hope you're having the best time of your life?!

Stay inspired.
Stay positive.
Stay be-you-tiful.
