STYLE: 5 Ways To Style A Chiffon Maxi Skirt (Unveiling The Weirdo Concept)

Hiya! I've been in some weird mode these days - doing some weird things. Lol. So I want to explain what being a weirdo means in a weird way. *grins

Styling A Maxi Skirt

One of my favourite skirts has always been a flowy chiffon maxi. They are light and airy and can be appropriate for many occasions. Whether dressing them up for a day at the office or down for a day of shopping, this light fabric can make any outfit look effortlessly chic.

Here are different ways I like to style a chiffon maxi. Trust me, I'm weird like that.

Level #1: THE NORMAL CONCEPT

Being normal is doing the usual and ordinary things. Normal people are not very interesting. They may be cool, but definitely not fun.

Take a step out of level #1 and move to level #2.

Level #2:  THE LIGHTBULB MOMENT

This is that awesome moment of sudden realization, enlightenment, or inspiration. That "I have an idea!" and "Aha!" moment. You have to think creatively at this point. Weirdos are creative, smart and spontaneous.

Get some ideas here. Think.

Level #3: THE RUFFLES CONCEPT

When you get an idea, you sketch. The ruffles represent different rough sketches. Play with the ruffles - try it at front and try it from the back. Choose your best shot.

Sometimes your rough work can create a masterpiece. Don't discard them yet.

It's amazing how an idea begets another idea. Step up to level #4.

Level #4: THE TUBE DRESS CONCEPT

When you get an idea, it's very important that you follow it through.

I can do without the top and wear it plainly as a tube dress. I can wear a jacket on the tube dress or a bead to accessorise my neck. Not a bad idea.

Level #5: THE BALL TOP CONCEPT

If it works, fine. If it doesn't work, try out another idea. Never limit yourself. There are much more possibilities to what you can do, who you can be and where you can reach.

The difference between a normal person and a weird person is how they present themselves, their perception about life and their passion for what they do. So  are you normal or weird?

Hmmm . . . not bad. Yeah? But never settle here. Stretch further. Keep going. Keep exploring. Think bigger. Become better.

Level #6: THE WEIRDO CONCEPT

Being a weido is doing unusual and extraordinary things. The greatest people who have ever walked on this earth were weird. They didn't stop at normal concept or lightbulb moment. They went further. They stretched their imagination. They thought differently.

Don't get it twisted. Being a weirdo is not unholy. In fact, it is holiness gan sef. Lol.

Steve Jobs was weird. Chinua Achebe was weird. Mother teresa was weird. Arnold Schwarzenegger is weird. Bill Hicks is weird. Mark Zuckerberg is weird. Wole Shoyinka is weird. Martin Luther King was weird. Karthyn Kuhlman was weird. Apostle Paul was weird. Jesus (while on earth) was weird.

The list is endless. I’m not even close to the level of these great people, but I’m one of the the weirdest lifestyle blogger you have ever met. Yes or true? Lol.

So that was how I came about this weird combo

Being weird is bliss. It can be so much fun! It makes life more exciting!

Where are you right now - level #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 or #6?

What's your favourite level, I mean style?
