What's Next

Hi. Hi. Long time, no blog. How is everyone doing? I hope you are enjoying the holiday.

What's Next

I'd like to rock my natural African kinky comb-breaking hair for Christmas. I gave it a good treat today! But I'm scared at how it is turning out. It seems my hair does not want me to shine this season.

It's so hard to believe what it is looking like after all the effort. Smh.

Anyway, I'm not here to talk about my hair. I believe a miracle can happen before Christmas Day.

Let's start by saying my day has been super awesome. Among the things I did today was giving my hair a treat. Sadly, it didn't exactly turn out the way I wanted it. Oops, I've said that before. Don't mind me

OK.

My brother, Davidson (who we call 'Junior' at home) asked me a question when he came back from work.

"What happened to your blog?"

What happened. I know what he meant. I've not blogged for days now. It's very unusual for me to not blog for that long without a cogent reason - few times were when I lost my phone and when I needed to reconnect with Jesus.

Whenever I know I am going to have a busy-ness week, I always schedule my posts ahead of time. However, this season comes along with a different cloud of rays.

"I don't know what to write."

Ah! I answered without even thinking. My very own words shocked me because I never even realized the TRUE reason for not posting until then.

Davidson said nothing. But the silence was loud.

"Thank you for asking. That means a lot to me." I said shortly after.

Honestly, I was happy he asked. Not only has he been a huge supporter, he expresses his concern as to why one of the most passionate bloggers he knows hasn't blogged for days.

"Why don't you write about why you don't know what to write?"

Hmmm . . . He meant it as a suggestion. But I took it as divine direction.

So here I am writing why I have not been blogging . . .

2016 has been an amazing year. I am not saying that for the sake of it. For real, it has been one amazing experience (with God) after another. And I am totally wrecked by the love and grace I have come to know, and blown away with secrets and principles I have been come to understand personally.

The more I know about His purpose, the more I know there is more yet to be known.

I didn't blog last week because I was on and about The RCCG Congress coupled with some other little big things. Blogging just had to stop chill.

I am a dreamer. I have shared a bit of my childish dreams HERE.

I make plans, but God messes up disrupts my plans again and again.

That was how He told us to stop creating Heart Rays as podcast, which I eventually did after dragging it with Him for a while. Well, I am actually happy I obeyed because it has birthed the voice-over business idea. Yeah. Our studio can only get better. :)

Right at this moment, I have stopped "chasing my dreams". (I will tell you what I am now chasing later).

Here is the thing, God has a plan for our lives. The plan to make us. The plan to help us take over our promised lands. The plan to help us fulfil our dreams. However, the dream has got to be the dream He has placed in our hearts, and the plan has got to be the plan He has set before us.

It is better to be faithful than to be famous.

It's not that I don't know what to write or that I have stopped blogging, my pursuit has shifted.

A seed has been planted in my heart. I do not want to miss the process of delivery -- the birthing, the growth, and the expansion -- by following my own plans.

Relying on human logistics and strategies leads to nowhere.

I believe when God gives us a dream, He gives us a plan to work with. There is NO struggle when you are walking in God's will.

There are so many distractions and choices and opportunities. I don't want to waste any precious time on the wrong ones. I can't afford to be like the Isrealites, who made 40 days to become 40 years out of disobedience and lack of faith.

When you know God's plan, you will sleep when it's time to sleep. And work when it's time to work.

This blog has been a journey to fulfilling my dreams. It gives me tremendous joy that in pouring my heart out, I inspire you in some ways.

The fulfilling of our dreams is a walk with God. It takes one step after another.

So . . . I am currently seeking what's next.

P.S If I had known I was going to blog today, I'd have taken a picture of my hair. It would have been so perfect for this post. Lol.

Thanks for sticking with AMAKAMEDIA so far. You are a part of this dream. We will get there, and then we will take over.

For we are fully persuaded, that He who has promised, is able to perform.
