REVIEW: The Walnut

You know I like to talk about anything that I find fascinating. Right? So today, I've got the walnut on my mind. These days, I see it everywhere. And I'm starting to like it.

7 Top Reasons to Eat the Walnut

When I found out that it is good for the heart. I was like, "wow!" And knowing how much I value your heart,  I want you to also see reasons to like it now/more.

So let's go there, The Walnut. . .

The walnut doesn't have an interesting look. On a first glance, you wouldn't want to be caught with it. But it does have a fabulous taste. *whispers* don't drink water immediately after eating it. You'd want to cut off your tongue!

Plus, it's not so easy to crack. Literally, it's a hard nut to crack (for me, maybe).

7 Top Reasons to Eat the Walnut

These are based on the research I made via the internet. Many scientists, nutritionists, spiritualists and even herbalists have proven these to be true. That was a joke there. But seriously.
  1. Cancer fighting properties: It helps to reduce not only prostrate cancer but also breast cancer. It slashes breast cancer by 50%.
  2. Heart Health: It contains the amino acid l-arginine which offers multiple vascular benefits that help fight heart diseases.
  3. Rare and powerful Antioxidants: It contains antioxidants. Antioxidants are crucial to your health, they help you combat how fast you age by combating free radicals which are at the heart of age related deterioration.
  4. Weight Control: Adding walnut to your daily diet can help you lose weight over time when substituted for those fats.
  5. Improved reproductive health in men: This is one top reason. It improves sperm quality as well as votality, motility and vitality.
  6. Brain Health: Walnut contains a good number of  neuroprotective compounds including: vitamin E, Omega 3- fats and antioxidants. Therefore, it reduces stress and it is a great source of energy.
  7. Diabetes: It improves metabolic parameters in people with type 2 diabetes.
Are you awed too?  It is wonderful. It feels like a secret has been revealed. It has actually.
If a food can prevent a disease, then it must be a drug. The walnut is a drug.

Ever heard that great things come in small packages? Yes, the walnut can pass for that axiom.

*****
Something extra, you can have fun with it:
Riddle: I am something. I don't have a good look but I've got a good taste. I am of  three layers but only my middle layer is edible. I am small but can fight enemies. What am I?
Answer: The Walnut.

Lol. Did you hear that sound? I just cracked a walnut. Go get yours! :D
