DIARY: A Full-Circle November to Remember (2025)

I've always counted my life in moments. Life, for me, isn't about the work I do or the things I get to achieve. It's about love, people, creativity, laughter, quietude, and memories made along the way. These moments are more precious to me than silver or gold. 

‘November to Remember’ has always been my thing since 2017. I journal each day of the month with one or two sentences that capture its highlights. We go again this year.  

November to Remember 2025

Saturday 1 – What better way to start this month than to be in the presence of my Father with my beloved sisters at Just Us Girls Conference hosted by Pastor Mildred Kingsley-Okonkwo.

Sunday 2 - This might be vain to some people but I look forward to camera moments with my favourite family after church. We always wear matching outfits in colour or/and in code. Here’s a glimpse 😉

Monday 3 - The children are on their mid-term break for the entire week. “Mummy, I am hungry” hasn’t stopping ringing in my ears. These girls have eaten 12 times today. My tired is tired! Ugh!

Tuesday 4 - Kachi and I are cooling off the day with a movie titled Family Brouhaha. It’s already past 11PM. And I’m over here yawning. 

Wednesday 5 - I declared today ‘Potato Day’ in my household. The plan is to have fried potatoes and egg sauce for breakfast and potato porridge with vegetables for dinner. The girls have not been hungry since they had breakfast. Who knew potatoes fries could be so filling. A mama just cracked a code!

I’ve drafted this post seven times and I am not even joking. I don’t know what angle to come from because my thoughts are not exactly coherent at the moment. Style? Marriage? Family? Layering? Parenting? It’s everything. Actually, it is about everything that I have come to realize in this 7 years of being married to the love of my life. 

Yes, on this day seven years ago, I handed wine to my husband and became traditionally married!

The Art of Intentional Layering 

Not to sound cheesy but I am so thankful and blessed to be married to Kachi. I’ve heard a lot about the “7 year itch” and how it’s the year where most marriages are tested. I TOTALLY get why. By year 7, most couples probably have two children. And two children really does change a marriage in a way that one child doesn’t.

However, for me, I can truly say I’m more in love with my husband now than I was when I gave him the wine to drink in my father’s village compound seven years ago and I can’t wait to see what the future will bring for us!

We definitely cannot celebrate our marriage without celebrating the three magnificent blessings entrusted to us that bind our love even more: Our children. When I look at them, my heart feels so full. I am simply overwhelmed with the thought that my husband and I are given gifts of this magnitude. Two beautiful girls and a lovable boy. Two sweet girls and a special boy. Three wonderful souls to protect and love.

Hey sweetie, let me remind you. Before you started answering to all the names people call you now, you were already called Daughter.

Somewhere between growing up and growing older, we often forget that simple truth. We chase relevance, we strive to prove ourselves, we try to wear every hat role with grace. Yet, the fact remains that before the world named us anything, God named us His own.

And that, right there, is our truest identity. We are more daughter than anything else.

May we not forgo remembering who we are. No other name given to us stands more permanent than that name. No other title we carry will surpass that one. No other calling is greater.

My Father is Dear to Me Because…

If I had known that the moment would be so beautiful as to carve a niche in my heart, I would have taken a shot of it or even made a video of it. I feel like I would have missed it more if I didn’t even try to capture it with words. So here I am on Heart Rays….

My Dear Father

This morning felt like a full-circle moment for me.

I sat there watching my first daughter and her father work on one of the homework assignments we intentionally left undone yesterday because we wanted Daddy to handle that by himself and for himself.

The homework was a composition on “My Dear Father” and who better to take it on with her than the very one playing the father role in her life? 

There they were, father and daughter’s heads bent together. Writing. Talking. Giggling. Thinking. It was such a beautiful sight.

Honestly, I didn’t realize how much emotion could be wrapped in a simple nursery school composition. That moment was warm and cozy altogether.

Something in me was healing. Melting. Opening. 

RELATIONSHIP: What You Should Know Before You Start

There are so many interesting things I like to talk about— from love to marriage, career to media, singlehood to motherhood, and so on. But every time I am given an opportunity to speak to youths about love and relationships, I feel like a big fish swimming in her very own water. I literally come alive. Gosh!

Entering into a relationship is not something you do because you just feel like it. It is not a random event in your life. It actually can be a life-defining or life-altering experience for you. So it is important that you know what you are embarking on. Like the Bible says in Luke 14:28-30, where Jesus uses the analogy of a builder who must first calculate the expenses to ensure they have enough resources to complete a tower, and a king who assesses his strength before engaging in war. 

The truth is that you must understand and be prepared for the full commitment and potential sacrifices required to be in a relationship. So, the question you should ask yourself is: 

Am I ready to be in a relationship? 

Am I?

Kachi CG Releases Debut Album, ‘Love Echoes’ with 11 Tracks

I’m the proudest wife in Nigeria right now. Hahaha! This is partly because I watched it all happen. The late nights, the prayers, the back and forth. I saw the making of this album up close, and I can boldly say Kachi CG didn’t just create music. He released a message. A message of love.

And true to its name, it’s Love Echoing from the heart of the Father to His son and through the voice of His son back to the world.

Kachi CG’s debut album, Love Echoes was launched on his birthday, August 3rd, 2025 and it was amazing. My heart is full! The album is not just a collection of songs, it’s Love Echoing from the heart of the Father to His son and through the voice of His son back to the world. (Okay, I have said that before but it’s worth repeating. 😉)

The album features 11 tracks. Each track carries a sound that’s deeply personal and rich. You can literally feel the love of God as you listen.

6 Birthday Messages I’m Keeping Forever

It’s less than 24hours after my birthday and I still feel completely undone by the kindness of my people. I received texts, calls, DMs, posts, videos, voice notes and even customized fliers that made me cry, laugh, blush. . . and pause to just whisper “thank You, Jesus.”

So today, I’m bottling up some of those words like flowers here. This is for the me that might need a reminder in the future. And maybe for you too. Because words are powerful. And when they come from the heart? They stay with us foreverrrr.

I can’t believe I am as old as I am today. It’s funny that I screamed to the world when I turned 20, 21,22, 25,26,28 and almost screamed out my lungs when I turned 30. Now, today, I’m like, “girl, you are not a child anymore”. Maybe because I am now mothering three children. Who knows? Oh my!

Isn’t it funny how this is my very first post for International Day of the Boy Child? Just three months ago, I wouldn’t be bothered or have given it any thought. But today, as I am holding my son and nursing him, it suddenly means something to me.

Motherhood is truly a beautiful thing. What a life-transforming journey. 

When Boys Are Seen

Today is International Day of the Boy Child and for the first time in my entire lifetime, it matters to me. Not just to celebrate, but to INTERCEDE.

I think about the boys I know — the ones I’ve dated, taught, coached, prayed with, worked with and watched grow.

And I wonder:

Who taught them how to feel? Who told them they are enough without proving it? Who fathered their hearts?

We celebrate girls (rightly so), we fight for women (we must), but what of the boy?

When will we begin to see him not just as a FUTURE MAN. FUTURE HUSBAND. FUTURE FATHER but as a soul in need of nurturing NOW?

It’s official! I’m now rounding the last two weeks (or shorter!) of my third pregnancy and everyone in my family is on “baby watch.” The final countdown has begun, and soon my tight-knit little family of four will expand.

I got an invite to be a guest at a forum, and I almost declined until Kachi reminded me that by then, I should have offloaded the package and be light enough to show up and dish out what I’ve got. Did you catch that?!  

Technically, we’re hoping the baby drops in two weeks or less!

Wow! 

It’s a whirlwind of emotions over here. Excitement. Anticipation. Gratitude. Anxiety. Love. Name it.

From a family of two to three, then four, and now five—it’s been an incredible journey of growth, laughter, and love.

One thing I’ve learned through this journey is that love doesn’t divide; it MULTIPLIES. With every child, our capacity to love has grown exponentially. And as we prepare to welcome this little one, I’m reminded that this is God’s perfect design—to expand our hearts and our lives in ways we never imagined possible.

Making the Most of the Last Days of Pregnancy

It’s the first week of the year, and I’m still pregnant. I honestly can’t believe Kachi and I miscalculated this thing again. Lol. We were hoping for a December baby, but the doctor wasn’t on board with inducing labor to avoid the risk of a premature delivery. And I guess God had his own plans and probably laughed at ours. Hahaha!

So here I am, still pregnant and soaking up every bit of these final moments.

Last Days of Pregnancy

First Sunday of the year

Seasons of life are as beautiful as the phrase itself. While this might be my last pregnancy, it’s also the completion of my family. I am giving my daughters their final sibling, and completing our gallery wall with no missing children. Thank You, Sweet Jesus!

So yes, my season of having pregnancy announcements, gender reveals, and late-night feedings may be coming to an end after this baby, but as my husband said, “When one season ends, another begins.” I still have a while left in this one, and what an amazing thing that is. So I am going to breathe and enjoy every second of it, even the uncomfortable parts. I’ll savor the moments of feeling a baby hiccup in my belly, and laugh at the fifth time in a row I get up and waddle-walk to the bathroom, because this season will not last forever as another one begins.

2025: Year of FIRE

This is officially my first blog post of the year, as every other published post you have read in the last few months (my third pregnancy journey series) was scheduled from the later end of last year. So, welcome to a brand new year!

I am practically basking in the euphoria of a new season, and it feels just right at this point.

Imagine me screaming “this girl is on fireeee!!!” at the top of my high-pitched voice right now. Would you block your eardrums? You better not. Haha! This post almost feels like I’m screaming the same thing at the moment.

Let me break it down for you. FIRE isn’t just a word; it’s an acronym for all that I’ve been spoken over the year by my Heavenly Father, my Spiritual Fathers, and the priest of my family. 

Here is what I’m stepping into:

When a Girl Mom is Having a Boy

Right from the beginning, I knew it was a boy. Nothing was different physically, but I could feel his wild spirit. One day I told my husband, “I feel like I became a lion to give birth to a lion” because at the time, I was deeply and widely studying various resources on what it means to be a Christian who is as bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1). I just knew we were expecting a baby boy.

Lately, my blog has become a constant swirl of all things pregnancy, and to my loyal sweethearts, I promise to return to more of my “old ways” once this little darling arrives. For now, I couldn’t resist taking a moment to sip in all the emotions that this season brings.

It’s my last pregnancy (amen?), and I’m determined not to miss out on any part of being pregnant. Lol! 

Jokes aside, I actually enjoy capturing my feelings with words before they fly away. It’s my thing. Remember when I shared what it feels like;

• to be single when all my friends were getting married,
• to be engaged,
• to be a newly married woman (one week old),
• to be pregnant for the first time (1st trimester, 2nd trimester and 3rd trimester),

I even also shared what it feels like to be a broke entrepreneur. Wow, is there anything else I haven’t shared with you on this Heart Rays?? You see! Please, allow me share what it feels like to be a girl mum expecting a baby boy. 

So with that being said, I’m both excited and nervous about entering a whole new world of being a boy mom!

5 Things I’m Loving About This Pregnancy Glow

It’s often said that every pregnancy is different, and from my experience, that’s absolutely true. I’m not sure I glowed as much during my previous pregnancies (though some people claimed I did), but this time, I’m glowinggggggg—I can see it and feel it! Hallelujah!!!

A Different Pregnancy Glow

Pregnancy glow is the vibrant, radiant, fresh look that many women show on their faces while pregnant. For me, this pregnancy is the most beautiful thing. I feel like I’m not just growing a baby—I’m also glowing in every possible way. It’s been such a joy to experience this unique blend of physical changes, emotional highs, and spiritual blessings that make me feel radiant. So today, I’m unapologetically showing off and sharing five things I’m absolutely loving about this pregnancy glow!

1. My Skin is Doing the Most

There’s something about the way pregnancy hormones work their magic! My skin feels smoother, softer, and yes, brighter. It’s like the angels decided to sprinkle a little extra oil on me. I catch myself in the mirror sometimes and think, “Who is this glowing beauty?!” Whether it’s the natural flush or just the glow that comes with carrying life, I’m soaking in every compliment like the queen I am!

Pregnant at Christmas: Mary’s Story and My Own

It was the Sunday before Christmas and the atmosphere was all lovely, warm and lively. Being pregnant I couldn’t help relating to Mary, the mother of Jesus. She was also pregnant at this time of the year, but her journey was far more extraordinary.

As I sat in church, surrounded by the warmth of Christmas songs and the joy of the season, I couldn’t help but think of Mary. I felt a deep connection to Mary. She carried not just a baby but the Saviour of the world, navigating a journey filled with uncertainty and yet rooted in unwavering faith.

I also felt grateful. Grateful for this new life growing inside me. Grateful for Mary’s example of faith and surrender. And most of all, grateful for Jesus, whose birth changed everything.

And I pictured Mary.

I wondered how Mary would feel at the moment, seeing all the mothers walking in her footsteps. She said yes to God’s incredible plan, even when she didn’t have all the answers. Her journey reminds me that motherhood—whether we’re birthing children, ideas, or dreams—is always a partnership with God.

Making Decisions That Go Beyond Black and White

When you're in your “typical” childbearing years, you always get the question, “are you having another one?”. It's all SO personal and there are SO many factors that go into that decision. Physically, can you do another? Mentally, can you do it? What about financially? What does your partner think? What do you guys WANT? I know how incredibly difficult it is to decide… At a point I even asked Google “should I have a 3rd baby”. LOL. 🙈

As I welcome my third baby, I am reminded of the complexities of making decisions…

Beyond Black and White Choices

Some decisions in life seem as straightforward as choosing between black and white—right or wrong, yes or no. But often, the most meaningful choices are found at the point where faith and wisdom intersect.

Take Kachi and me, for example. When we were newly engaged we discussed and agreed on the number of children we would have. It seemed clear-cut and straightforward—a black-and-white decision we were confident about. But somewhere along the journey, we entered the grey: the space where circumstances, emotions, and faith tested our initial decisions.

After our first pregnancy, we revisited our plan. During my second pregnancy, we agreed that if we had a baby boy, we’d stick to two. That would complete our family, and we’d close the chapter.

But, as always, God’s plan is always perfect.

A Bold Approach to Pregnancy Style

Pregnancy has a way of teaching you resilience. It’s a beautiful reminder that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness.

This season isn’t without its challenges. There are moments of exhaustion, discomfort, and uncertainty. But through it all, I’ve leaned more into God. God has been my constant, my anchor, and my guide. In His presence, I’ve found strength to carry on, even when the days feel long.

I honestly didn’t feel like going to church today, but I went anyway! The spirit was willing, even though the flesh was weak. Kachi prayed for me, and just like that—boom! I jumped out of bed. Hallelujah!

I whispered, “There must be something packaged for me amongst the brethren today. Lord, I receive all that you have for me today in the name of Jesus!”

PREGNANCY STYLE: Tips for Styling Your Baby Bump in Brown

After church that Sunday, I decided to take a few photos. Nothing fancy—just us, in our Sunday best, with my growing baby bump taking center stage.

As someone who is pretty practical when it comes to investing in my wardrobe (and who is almost positive this is my last time doing this?), I really made an effort to maximize the number of bump-accommodating pieces I already owned to the fullest…while also still maintaining some sense of…togetherness — and personal style.

I’d been more than intentional about how I wanted to tend to and celebrate my last pregnancy. It was almost addictive. The pictures weren’t always enough. Lol. 

There is a glow that only pregnancy can give. Brown is one of the colours that effortlessly complements that glow. It’s a neutral that feels rich and sophisticated, yet it’s soft enough to evoke a sense of comfort. Plus, it pairs beautifully with earthy tones, or even pops of colour.

To elevate my look, I wore an Ankara scarf. You know I live for that fabric. 😉

Sometimes, I wonder what it will be like to hold you and just stare at you for hours. I even wonder if l’d still look pretty carrying you in my womb before then. I know I'll be different when you come along. I am too excited about you.

Yesterday, I was daydreaming and wondering what you will look like. Maybe you'll be chubby. Maybe you'll have full hair. Maybe you'll be dark and tall. Maybe you'll like to sing. Maybe you'll like to write. Either way—you are going to be a very smart guy.l just know it.

It is my desire to raise sons, whose sisters, wives and children would be proud of. It is my desire to be called blessed for your sake.

You are a blessing. Not just to me, but also to your dad, the family, the church and to the world.

I wanted our joy to come out without it being forced, where the girls would be so happy and peaceful that our maternity shoot would be full of joy. It was also, my last pregnancy so it was even more special than ever before. I have truly never embraced a pregnancy more than I have with my pregnancy with baby boy.
