DIARY: I Look Like Olajumoke Orisaguna

This might be considered old news. But it doesn't sound as such to me. I've lost count of the articles/comments I've read and the videos I've watched about her story. I think I'm becoming obssessed with the "rhema" I get from it all. So I have decided to help myself by writing this. . .

Olajumoke Orisaguna

I've read about Olajumoke for the umpteenth time. I'm totally mesmerized. Each time I read her story, I get goose pimples. I literally see God.

The first time I read it, my faith was renewed. My belief in God’s word was foregrounded and I knew more than I ever did before that indeed God is He who makes the poor, the low and the ‘undeserving’ to dine with the kings and the mighty men in wealthy places.

It's quite an interesting and inspiring story. Olajumoke Orisaguna is a 27-year old mother of two children (that we are almost age mate actually gives me goose pimples. Lol). She relocated from Osun state to Lagos because life was hard for her. Then she started hawking bread in Lagos; and that was what she was doing on the day she was discovered by TY Bello.

Read More On Instagram. I mean simply type #olajumoke in the search box, and you will get the full gist. (You already know the story)

Fast foward.

Jumoke is no longer a bread seller, she is now a celebrity. She is now a model with so many open doors and unending opportunities. She is now an ambassador of a confectionery and many other brands. She is now the owner of a house. She is now studying English language and learning the ropes of being a professional model. Her life has been transformed. Just like that! All of a sudden! In the twinkling of an eye

LOL. On a lighter note, I kinda look like her

Check it. Jumoke doesn't have two heads. She doesn't have three lips. She doesn't have four legs. She looks like every normal human being would. She is not the only bread-hawker. She is not the only one with the right poise or the most beautiful face.

However, something stood out for her - GRACE.

Yes, Grace.

Hers is a story of Grace! Only Grace could have done it! Only God could have done it! And that God is alive!!! Oh yes, He is alive!!!

Jumoke's story encourages me like Joseph (in the Bible) does. It ignites the rays of hope in my heart. It is a reminder that God is still in the business of transforming lives, God’s grace is still available and He will perfect all that concerns us.

"I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favour to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all."
~ Ecclesiastes 9:1, NIV.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
~ Galatians 6:9

While waiting for your time of harvest, enjoy the process. Be thankful. Be diligent. Be patient. And never stop believing.

Like I said yesterday, keep track of your dreams. You just never know which one has (or will) become a reality.

Mehn, Jumoke's story is not one we'd forget in years to come . . .
